The Goldeyes have maintained their place as the American Association’s only Canadian member since joining the league in 2011. They are also the oldest operating independent baseball club in Canada, having been founded in 1994 and playing every season since, including playing all of 2020 and most of 2021 entirely in the United States due to COVID-19-mandated border closures.

The club currently in Winnipeg is the relocated Rochester Aces, who were moved from Rochester, MN after the Northern League’s inaugural 1993 season. Club history here and from the organization does not reflect that season.
